Dr. Jimmy Reyes Named 2026 Health Equity Advocate of the Year by the Iowa Public Health Association

So proud to share that our Executive Director, Dr. Jimmy Reyes, has been named the 2026 Health Equity Advocate of the Year by the Iowa Public Health Association.

This award recognizes individuals who have made meaningful contributions to advancing health equity in Iowa through education, advocacy, systems change, and innovation—and that’s exactly the work Jimmy has been doing for decades. 

Through MyHealthIowa–MiSaludIowa, that mission comes to life every day—bringing free screenings, education, and resources directly into communities across the state.

It’s incredibly meaningful to see that work recognized at this level.
